Puff turned 9 this week! It was also book week at school; Puff re-used an old favourite costume to be a pirate bird from a maths book, while Huff combined some old and new pieces to be Meg (of Meg and Mog fame).
Dad made birthday crepes for Puff; both were pretty happy with the result. Huff was also keen to try them.
It was a great morning. The kids had a great day, actually.
Dad took Puff out for an overdue haircut.
We then had a game of Putt Putt golf with a couple of Puff’s friends, and then raced to an early dinner – Puff wanted to play teppanyaki. The chef was really kind to the cousins in particular, as they dealt with the sound and the fiery heat.
Huff was pretty excited to take the leftover edamame beans home in a specially folded foil bag.
And after spending all that time with Puff, Dad took Huff out for Sunday breakfast: just her and Dad.
We also had a bonus birthday cake for Puff at grandma and doc’s house, which he shared with his uncle, who has a birthday the following day.
This week I watched a video of a 3-week-old Puff kicking his feet as he lay on a blanket. Where did the time go? Now he’s getting his first strike at ten pin bowling. Sunrise, sunset!
