Huff is starting to get used to having the Grandragon and Bandit around to play with. She’s much more animated, she’s trying harder to crawl around (though only succeeded in moving backwards so far) and she’s saying a few words. She even manages to stretch her hands out and a gripping motion as if to say “give me”, and she’s not shy about asking for anything interesting that the people around her might be having.
Saturday was a trip to a play centre to play with D,N,C and I, where we played on all four storeys of the play equipment for a long while. Dad was very proud of Puff’s efforts at climbing.
Sunday was an adventure for Dad and Puff on the way to church. Instead of our usual driving trip, we went by train, and even had paddle pops on the way there.
We all went to Cronulla after church, and Puff wanted to walk on the beach, so Dad and Puff spent some time looking for shells.
Playing with sand is messy, but it’s a fast-track back to childhood. So many grains of sand.
On Monday, Puff came into the city with Mum and Huff for a coffee – there was a lot of smiling.
Puff is increasingly wanting to read his own bedtime stories now, though if you can find a long enough story, he’ll grudgingly accept, but it seems like the tide is already turning. It won’t be long before Dad is reading bedtime stories to Huff.
