We’re back into the swing of school term again. Huff is very excited at the prospect of kinder orientation, and her big brother is looking forward to being at school with her.
On the weekend Mum was at a wedding, so Dad and the kids had a birthday party to go to with one of Puff’s school friends, and Huff was invited along too. They had a great time bouncing around a play centre.
After the party, Dad drove the kids up to the mountains. With Huff sleeping in the car, Dad and Puff stopped at a cafe with street parking and managed time for a selfie.
We went for dinner with Uncle J and their cousin, having pizza in Katoomba. The kids managed to behave themselves really well.
We were getting used to travelling after the previous week’s road trip, so the kids settled in well – here is Huff showing off her “night-time friends”.
We had breakfast in a cafe in Katoomba, and found it had a chalkboard. Huff was drawing pictures, and Puff was trying to do some maths puzzles. It won’t be long until they’re both doing maths puzzles.
We tried one extra cafe, and the kids had a bit of a chance to play screens.
After all this time in cafes, we went to Wentworth Falls for a bit of a bush walk. The kids made it down over 200 steps to take some photos near the waterfall.
Oh, and Huff’s school banking book came in this week. She’s pretty excited.
